As climate change pioneers we immediately believed the science and understood more than 20 years ago that it’s happening. Endless oppositions and impossible discussions until, 5 years ago, the discussion started changing. We did no longer have to tiptoe around with everyone we met to see if the “climate” angle would be allowed in the discussion. But: We still don’t see the political action that is adequate, and Greta Thunberg is right to repeat this over and over: “Politicians, do your job. The planet is heating up.”

We need to be smart, we need to act, we need to green urban areas, support regenerative agriculture, enable the energy transition everywhere.

With Lytefire, we’ve been working on the energy aspect. To develop something powerful, local and easy, that can be rapidly implemented, with little resources, no complex supply chains.

Our situation is completely unsustainable. Scientists say it and common sense has caught up: We must stop fossil fuel dependence and carbon emissions.

But HOW? Lytefire is proposing something tangible. We didn’t choose fossil fuels. That choice was made for us, by history to keep it short, and we are all to bear the consequences of that. A system depending on oil, burning oil in every industry, invisible when we buy a broccoli or a smartphone. Invisible, but more and more, thanks to climate change, felt, acknowledged. But not acted upon!
